Basketball Game Preview: Biloxi Indians vs. Gulfport Admirals

Biloxi is 8-2 against Gulfport since February of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Biloxi Indians will head out on the road to take on the Gulfport Admirals at 7:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Gulfport is hoping to do what St. Martin couldn't on Tuesday: put an end to Biloxi's winning streak, which now stands at three games. Biloxi took their match with ease, bagging a 63-36 win over St. Martin. The Indians have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 24 points or more this season.

Kentrell Beasley went supernova for Biloxi, almost dropping a double-double on 22 points and nine steals. Those 22 points gave Beasley a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Alan Ayala, who posted seven points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Gulfport waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They strolled past the Greyhounds with points to spare, taking the game 62-46. Given the Admirals' advantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 14th, while the Greyhounds are ranked 83rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Gulfport's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.8 points per game. As for Biloxi, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season.

Biloxi strolled past Gulfport when the teams last played back in January of 2024 by a score of 55-39. Will Biloxi repeat their success, or does Gulfport have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
