Basketball Recap: Clarkson/Leigh Gets the Win

Clarkson/Leigh proved they can win big last Saturday (they won by 31) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Archangels Catholic Defenders 37-35. That's more bragging rights for the Patriots, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Clarkson/Leigh had a senior duo take command as Brynn Settje posted three points along with five assists, five rebounds, and five steals and Izzy Hollatz had six points and five boards. Settje is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last nine games she's played.

Clarkson/Leigh now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Archangels Catholic, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-6.

Clarkson/Leigh wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 56-29 loss against Pender on the 18th. Archangels Catholic has also already played their next contest, a 58-20 victory against Riverside on the 21st.
