Basketball Game Preview: Blackwell Maroons vs. Frontier Mustangs

The Blackwell Maroons will head out to challenge the Frontier Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Last Saturday, Blackwell was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 36-31 to Chisholm.

Meanwhile, Frontier suffered their biggest defeat since November 22, 2024 on Saturday. They were dealt a 59-25 loss at the hands of Oklahoma Bible. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 134th, while the Trojans are ranked 11th).

Frontier's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-7. As for Blackwell, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.

Blackwell came up short against Frontier in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, falling 53-48. Can Blackwell avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
