Basketball Recap: Mather Rangers vs. Amundsen Vikings
After flying high against Alcott last Monday, Mather came back down to earth. The Mather Rangers fell to the Amundsen Vikings 60-56. The Rangers haven't had much luck with the Vikings recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

Mather lost on Tuesday despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Adin Smajlovic, who posted 28 points. Smajlovic's evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jeremiah Chalwe, who earned 17 points.
Jackson Tate was a one-man wrecking crew for Amundsen as he scored 22 points and five rebounds. Those 22 points gave Tate a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Cj Fortier, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 18 boards.
Mather's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Amundsen, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 11-2.
Mather has already played their next game, a 65-31 victory against Chicago Academy on the 23rd. As for Amundsen, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 74-66 defeat against Lake View on the 23rd.
