Softball Recap: Albuquerque Bulldogs vs. Rio Grande Ravens
Albuquerque stacked a 14th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Saturday. They never let the Rio Grande Ravens onto the board and left with a 22-0 victory. The win was familiar territory for Albuquerque who now have eight in a row.
Raquel Waldrop made a splash while hitting and pitching. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. Waldrop was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
In other batting news, Albuquerque got a massive performance out of Annika Stanley, who went 2-for-3 with four stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Honey Fields, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3.
Albuquerque pushed their record up to 17-5 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Rio Grande, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-16.
