Volleyball Recap: Anna-Kate Young and Lydia Vogelgesang Secure Win for Cincinnati Christian

Cincinnati Christian entered their tilt with Reading on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Blue Devils with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Cougars have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Blue Devils, too.

Cincinnati Christian was led to victory by Lydia Vogelgesang and Anna-Kate Young. Vogelgesang had nine digs and eight aces, while Young had 11 digs and one assist. That's the most digs Vogelgesang has posted since back in October of 2024.

They weren't the only good server: Cincinnati Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in five consecutive matchups.

Cincinnati Christian's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Reading, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Looking ahead, Cincinnati Christian will host Northwest at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Reading, they will head out on the road to square off against Mariemont at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
