Football Game Preview: Annawan-Wethersfield Titans vs. Astoria/VIT Rebels + How To Watch

The Annawan-Wethersfield Titans are taking a road trip to square off against the Astoria/VIT Rebels at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Annawan-Wethersfield has eight straight wins, Astoria/VIT has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Annawan-Wethersfield had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 36-point drubbing they dealt ROWVA/Williamsfield on Friday. The Titans blew past the Cougars, posting a 42-6 victory. Considering the Titans have won seven games by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Astoria/VIT scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. The matchup between the Rebels and Havana didn't end well, with the Rebels falling 69-50. The Rebels gained 85 more yards on the day, but it was the Ducks that made the best use of them.

Annawan-Wethersfield will have to contain Riley Foglesong as he made an impact in Astoria/VIT's last game. He rushed for 333 yards and four TDs on only 15 carries. Foglesong really tore up the turf during one magnificent 84-yard run. Colby Martin helped out on the ground, rushing for 104 yards and a rushing touchdown.

Astoria/VIT's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Annawan-Wethersfield, their win bumped their record up to 8-0.

Everything came up roses for Annawan-Wethersfield against Astoria/VIT in their previous meeting back in August of 2024, as the team secured a 42-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Titans since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
