Conant has gone 8-2 against Schaumburg recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Conant Cougars will challenge the Schaumburg Saxons at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Conant can't be too worried about heading out to take on Schaumburg: they just beat Fenton at home, who had been dominant on their own court up to that point. Conant walked away with a 53-42 victory over Fenton on Saturday. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 146th, while the Bison are ranked 317th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, everything went Schaumburg's way against Von Steuben on Saturday as Schaumburg made off with a 74-50 win. The Saxons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 20 points or more this season.

Conant's record is now 11-9. As for Schaumburg, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.

Conant didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Schaumburg in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 58-52 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Conant since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
