Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Kenwood couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 70-65 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rich Township Raptors. The Broncos' defeat signaled the end of their 19-game winning streak.

Al Brooks was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 27 points and 15 rebounds for Rich Township. The match was Brooks' fourth in a row with at least 18 points. Another player making a difference was Jamson Coulter, who shot 45% from the field en route to 17 points.

Kenwood's loss dropped their record down to 31-2. As for Rich Township, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 26-8.

Kenwood does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Rich Township, they will take on Warren Township at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Warren Township knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 16 games -- so hopefully Rich Township likes a good challenge.
