Abington Heights had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Loyalsock Township Lancers as they made off with an 8-1 win. The Comets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by seven runs or more this season.

Abington Heights' victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Loyalsock Township, their loss dropped their record down to 10-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Abington Heights will head out to challenge Wallenpaupack Area at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Comets 2.6, the Buckhorns 4.1) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Loyalsock Township, they are taking a road trip to take on Central Columbia at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
