Baseball Recap: Spring Lake Park Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Spring Lake Park had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Robbinsdale Armstrong Falcons. That's two games straight that the Panthers have won by just one run.

Michael Scroggins spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up eight Ks. Those eight strikeouts set a new season-high mark for him.

At the plate, Spring Lake Park saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ezra Teferi, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Spring Lake Park's record is now 9-7. As for Robbinsdale Armstrong, their loss dropped their record down to 7-10.

Coming up, Spring Lake Park will head out to face off against Denfeld at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Robbinsdale Armstrong, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Minneapolis Southwest at 4:30 p.m.
