Baseball Recap: Edison Picks Up Second Consecutive Victory

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Edison ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They beat the Old Bridge Knights by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 10-6. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-6 on Saturday.

Robert Roma made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Roma was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and three RBI.

In other pitching news, Dante Di Pasquale looked comfortable as he pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

Back at the plate, Darren Tirado was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Teddy Eyler, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two RBI.

The win made it two in a row for Edison and bumps their season record up to 2-2. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Old Bridge, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-3.

Edison will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Knights: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
