Basketball Recap: Lone Star Takes a Loss

Lone Star's tournament run continued when they took on St. Michael on Friday. The Lone Star Rangers took a blow against the St. Michael's Warriors, falling 69-37. While losing is never fun, the Rangers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 300th, while the Warriors are ranked fourth).

Leading St. Michael's to victory were Bo Morton and Kalen Williamson. Morton posted 11 points, while Williamson put up two points and five rebounds.

Lone Star's loss dropped their record down to 6-7. As for St. Michael's, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 13-2.

Lone Star wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 50-35 defeat against Cypress Ranch on the 6th. As for St. Michael's, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 73-64 victory against Port Arthur Memorial on the 6th.
