Volleyball Recap: Poynette Pumas vs. Nekoosa Papermakers

Poynette and Nekoosa squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Poynette had to settle for second. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Nekoosa Papermakers. The Pumas just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

While Poynette had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-23, 17-25, 25-18, 25-20.

Leading Nekoosa to victory were McKenzie Woodard and Aubrey Boerboom. Woodard had 21 digs, while Boerboom had 12 digs and five aces. Boerboom is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in the last nine games she's played.

Poynette's defeat dropped their record down to 11-17. As for Nekoosa, they pushed their record up to 21-13 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home.
