Bloomington Christian lost to Desert Chapel 69-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Joshua Springs led Heritage (8 Man) in scoring this week after putting up 72 points on San Pasqual Academy. Isaiah Bates threw for 63 yards and 3 touchdowns during the win.
Desert Christian Academy's dynamic duo of Hunter Hurja and Kenny Gagnon proved tough for Nuview Bridge to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Hurja threw for 260 yards and 3 touchdowns and Gagnon had 204 yards receiving. Donny Roethler helped Desert Christian Academy's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 23 yards.
The Conquerors' dynamic duo of Hurja and Gagnon proved to be unstoppable against the Knights, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Blake Kelly was the best running back in the league this week. In 23 carries, he ran for 167 yards as Lancaster Baptist beat Nuview Bridge. Seth Hanna also contributed to the rushing game with 102 yards on the ground.
Hanna made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Eagles bested Upland Christian Academy. The 5-foot-9 sophomore.
Gagnon was the best wideout in the league this week as Scott Gilbert's team topped Jermaine Williams' team.
Hurja put up the best numbers through the air as the Conquerors beat the Knights.
Leading Heritage (8 Man) in both passing and receiving yards, Desert Christian Academy's Hurja and Gagnon have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-3 quarterback Hurja has thrown for 413 yards this season, while Gagnon has 10 catches for 273 yards. Lancaster Baptist's Kelly leads the league in rushing yards with 330.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Chris Hale's team takes on Trinity Classical Academy. As it stands, the Eagles are in second, while the Knights are in fifth.
The longest pass in the league this week was acheived by the Conquerors' Hurja. He connected with Gagnon on a 62-yard throw and catch as Desert Christian Academy bested Nuview Bridge.
