Baseball Recap: Timberlane Takes a Loss

Timberlane fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Pinkerton on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 8-3 to the Astros. The Owls haven't had much luck with the Astros recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Timberlane's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Pinkerton, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Timberlane will take on rival Exeter at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Pinkerton is set to challenge their familiar foe Merrimack at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Astros 3, the Tomahawks 4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
