Mapleton won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They had to suffer through a 49-0 loss at the hands of the Monroeville Eagles. The Mounties lost against the Eagles in their previous head to head back in October of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 35-26 score last time.
Evan Benfer was his usual excellent self, rushing for 64 yards and two touchdowns, while also throwing for 102 yards and a touchdown for Monroeville.

As for Monroeville, they are taking a road trip to square off against Plymouth at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Monroeville is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
