Baseball Recap: Lafayette County Comes Up Short

Lafayette County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Pleasant Hill Roosters/Chicks.

Lafayette County's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Pleasant Hill, they moved to 9-9 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Lafayette County will be playing at home against Lathrop at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Pleasant Hill, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, an 8-6 victory against Camdenton on the 3rd.
