Baseball Recap: Pana Find Success

Pana's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Shelbyville Rams by a score of 6-2. That's more bragging rights for the Panthers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Parker Moore spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on eight hits and racked up seven Ks.

On the hitting side, Madyx Angel was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one triple and one RBI. Pana is undefeated when Angel posts three or more hits, but 9-11 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Dane Epley, who earned one RBI, one run, and one stolen base.

Pana now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Shelbyville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-7.

Pana does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Shelbyville, they will head out on the road to challenge Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Shelbyville's pitchers better be ready for this one: Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg has averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season.
