Basketball Recap: MacArthur Comes Up Short

MacArthur lost a heartbreaker to Lawton when they met back in December of 2024, and they left with a heavy heart again on Friday. The MacArthur Highlanders came up short against the Lawton Wolverines, falling 74-48. The Highlanders haven't had much luck with the Wolverines recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

MacArthur's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Lawton, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. MacArthur will challenge El Reno at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. El Reno will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something MacArthur surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lawton, they will square off against Western Heights at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
