Brandon lost to Meridian last Tuesday, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Brandon Bulldogs claimed a resounding 53-24 win over the Meridian Wildcats.

Braylon Barnes continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 16 points and ten boards. Joshua Purry was another key player, putting up eight points and seven rebounds.

Brandon has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-11 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.3 points over those games. As for Meridian, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-11.

Brandon wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 64-54 loss against Pearl on the 7th. As for Meridian, they will challenge Gulfport at 7:00 p.m. on February 15th. Gulfport knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Meridian likes a good challenge.
