Preview: South Fork Bulldogs vs. Jupiter Warriors
The South Fork Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Jupiter Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
South Fork fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They put the hurt on Suncoast with a sharp 34-10 victory on Friday.
Omar Mejia had a dynamite game for South Fork, rushing for 183 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries. South Fork also got help from Tony Jefferson ii who showed off his sure hands for 98 receiving yards.
Meanwhile, Jupiter entered their tilt with Palm Beach Gardens with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. Jupiter blew past Palm Beach Gardens 42-20. Jupiter pushed the score to 28-7 by the end of the third, a deficit Palm Beach Gardens had little chance of recovering from.
Luke Douglas was his usual excellent self, rushing for 80 yards and three touchdowns, while also throwing for 187 yards and a touchdown.
Their wins bumped South Fork to 4-5 and Jupiter to 8-1.
South Fork might still be hurting after the 27-7 loss they got from Jupiter when the teams last played back in November of 2022. Can South Fork avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
