Softball Recap: Craigmont Comes Up Short

Craigmont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Brighton Cardinals, falling 15-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Chiefs of the 15-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Craigmont's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Brighton, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-7-2.

Looking ahead, Craigmont will host White Station at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Brighton, they will challenge Covington at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Brighton's pitchers better be ready for this one: Covington has averaged an impressive 9.6 runs per game this season.
