Preview: Hillcrest vs. Clarke County
Hillcrest (2-1) will have its first chance of the season to defend its home turf as it faces off against Clarke County (2-1) on Friday at 7:00 PM. Clarke County will have its work cut out for it since Hillcrest boasts a defense that has allowed an average of only 12 points per game.
Hillcrest was close but not close enough last game as it fell 18 - 15 to T.R. Miller. The team got a solid performance out of junior Ryan Nettles (he threw for 220 yards); unfortunately, it just wasn't enough for the win.
As for Clarke County, it crushed Flomaton last week, winning 50 - 14. The game was pretty much decided by the half: the score was 36 - 6 going into the third quarter.
The last time they met, Hillcrest walked away with a 41 - 28 win. Can it repeat its success? We'll find out this Friday.
