Football Recap: Notre Dame Comes Up Short

Notre Dame was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 56-6 loss at the hands of the Western Christian Fighting Lancers. The Titans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-0.

Aiden Santana threw for 78 yards and one TD. Nick Irving was his top target, picking up 71 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Notre Dame's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Western Christian, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Notre Dame will square off against Temecula Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Western Christian, they will challenge Santa Rosa Academy at 7:00 p.m. on September 6.
