Volleyball Recap: Freedom Comes Up Short

Freedom lost against South Caldwell back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Patriots took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spartans.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-15, 23-25, 25-14.

South Caldwell was led to victory by Lydia Church and Riley Powell. Church had eight aces and five digs, while Powell had ten digs and four aces. With that strong performance, Church is now averaging an impressive 12.5 assists per game.

Freedom has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season. As for South Caldwell, their record is now 7-4.

Freedom wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Alexander Central on the 18th. As for South Caldwell, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 win against St. Stephens on the 18th.
