Baseball Recap: Virginia High Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Virginia High's offense. They lost 11-0 to the Carroll County Cavaliers on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Bearcats have suffered since March 18th.

Virginia High's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Carroll County, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-2.

Virginia High and Carroll County should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings. The Bearcats (ranked 103rd) will meet Richlands (ranked 221st) at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Carroll County will take on Galax at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank advantage (43 vs. 331).
