Baseball Recap: Roswell Find Success

Clovis typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Roswell proved too difficult a challenge. They had just enough and edged out the Wildcats 3-1. This was a revenge game for the Coyotes: when they faced off against the Wildcats on Tuesday, they had to take a 2-0 loss.

Luke Lynn spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on one hit and racked up 14 Ks. He is becoming a predictor of Roswell's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is 3-1 (and 7-14 when he doesn't).

At the plate, Roswell saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Palomino, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple was Palomino's first of the season. Noah Lynn was another, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

Roswell's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-15. As for Clovis, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-12.

As of now, neither Roswell nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
