Gibsonburg is 6-1 against St. Mary Central Catholic since March of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Golden Bears were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Crimson Streaks on Monday. Considering the Golden Bears have won seven matches by more than nine runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for St. Mary Central Catholic, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They came out on top against Danbury by a score of 5-2 on Monday. The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Lakers: they've now won eight in a row.

St. Mary Central Catholic let Cayden Wikel and Reid Wikel run wild. Cayden went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs, while Reid went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Reid is becoming a predictor of St. Mary Central Catholic's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 6-7 when he doesn't). Rylan Wikel also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

St. Mary Central Catholic pushed their record up to 11-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Gibsonburg, their victory bumped their record up to 11-6.

Gibsonburg was able to grind out a solid win over St. Mary Central Catholic in their previous matchup back in April, winning 4-0. Will the Golden Bears repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
