Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Center Grove walked away with it. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Decatur Central Hawks on Thursday. The win was familiar territory for the Trojans, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Alex Vassar paced Center Grove's offense, picking up 11 kills. Vassar got some help from Silas Zathang and his 22 assists. Vassar was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Center Grove's victory bumped their record up to 22-8-1. As for Decatur Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.

Center Grove has already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Monrovia on the 17th. Decatur Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
