Softball Recap: Goose Creek Takes a Loss

Goose Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 11-4 to the Wando Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 on April 4th.

Jaionna Wheatley made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run and one double.

Goose Creek's record is now 2-14. As for Wando, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-11 record this season.

Goose Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wando, they will take on Dutch Fork at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Silver Foxes have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.37 runs per game on average), something the Warriors will no doubt try to take advantage of.
