Basketball Game Preview: Anthony Wayne Generals vs. Perrysburg Yellow Jackets

The Anthony Wayne Generals will take on the Perrysburg Yellow Jackets in a holiday battle at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Anthony Wayne comes in on three and Perrysburg on four.

Anthony Wayne is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They walked away with a 67-57 win over Findlay on Tuesday.

Anthony Wayne's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cole Gast, who posted 15 points and eight boards. Another player making a difference was Mason Taylor, who went 5-for-9 en route to 13 points and seven rebounds.

Meanwhile, Perrysburg was fully in charge on Tuesday, breezing past Northview 54-27. The Yellow Jackets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 23 points or more this season.

Perrysburg's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Anthony Wayne, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

Things could have been worse for Anthony Wayne, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 67-53 loss to Perrysburg in their previous meeting back in February. Can the Generals avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
