Basketball Game Preview: Harbor Pirates vs. Marina Mariners

The Harbor Pirates and the Marina Mariners will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Harbor is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Monte Vista Christian just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They lost to the Mustangs on the road by a 76-62 margin.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Marina). They enjoyed a cozy 80-66 victory over Soledad on Tuesday.

Harbor's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Marina, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.

Harbor came up short against Marina in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, falling 75-65. Thankfully for Harbor, Julius Robinson (who dropped a double-double on 40 points and 14 boards) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
