Valley Center's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They snuck past the San Pasqual Golden Eagles with a 45-39 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 74-42 back in January.

Dustin Hotchkiss was a one-man wrecking crew for Valley Center as he went 6-for-13 to rack up 14 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Lincoln Zetmeir, who posted 16 points.

Despite the loss, San Pasqual still got an impressive performance from Kaleo Bartolome, who almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine boards. The dominant performance also gave Bartolome a new career-high in steals (four). Osvaldo Gonzalez was another key player, putting up ten points and four blocks.

Valley Center's victory bumped their record up to 9-18. As for San Pasqual, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 14 of their last 15 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-24 record this season.

Valley Center has already played their next contest, an 86-60 defeat against Bishop's on the 14th. San Pasqual does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
