Football Recap: Ja'marlon Mooring Key Part of Team Effort in Tigers Win + How To Watch

There's no place like home for A&M Consolidated, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 48-40 win over the Weiss Wolves on Friday. The Tigers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wolves, too.

A&M Consolidated's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ja'Marlon Mooring, who rushed for 154 yards and three scores while picking up 9.1 yards per carry. Those 154 rushing yards gave Mooring a new career-high. Camron Roston helped out on the ground, rushing for 94 yards and two rushing touchdowns.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: A&M Consolidated was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 304 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Weiss only rushed for 52 rushing yards.

Weiss' defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaxon Schad, who threw for 392 yards and four TDs while picking up 10.6 yards per attempt. Schad is crushing it when it comes to passing touchdowns: he's passed for at least three every time he's taken the field this season. Jayon Alexander helped Schad out on the ground, picking up 72 receiving yards and one touchdown, while also rushing for 52 yards and one score.

A&M Consolidated now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Weiss, their loss was their first of the season and also makes their record 2-1.
