Shorewood is 2-8 against Edmonds-Woodway since March of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Stormrays will face off against the Warriors at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

On Wednesday, Shorewood got the win against Mountlake Terrace by a conclusive 9-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Stormrays.

Ellie Van Horn spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

Edmonds-Woodway's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-5. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Shorewood, their record is now 12-6.
