Baseball Recap: Friendship Christian Comes Up Short

Friendship Christian came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 11-3 to the Northside Rams. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Commanders have suffered since April 20, 2024.

Friendship Christian saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Miles Fitzpatrick, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. The dominant performance also gave Fitzpatrick a new career-high in RBI (two).

Friendship Christian now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Northside, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Looking ahead, Friendship Christian will square off against Hillcrest at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Northside, they are taking a road trip to take on Pickens Academy at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Pickens Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season.
