Softball Game Preview: Grand Street Campus Wolves vs. Wagner Falcons

The Grand Street Campus Wolves will head out to face off against the Wagner Falcons at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Friday, Grand Street Campus got the win against Francis Lewis by a conclusive 15-3.

Meanwhile, Wagner made easy work of New Dorp two weeks ago and carried off an 18-3 win. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matches by seven runs or more this season.

Wagner's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-3. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.4 runs over those games. As for Grand Street Campus, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-7.

Grand Street Campus suffered a grim 12-2 defeat to Wagner when the teams last played back in April. Can the Wolves avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
