Basketball Recap: Westfield School Now 6-2 over Last Eight Games

On Thursday, the Westfield School Hornets beat the Calvary Christian Knights 43-31. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hornets.

Despite the loss, Calvary Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Charleigh Spann posted 13 points along with seven steals and five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Spann has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklyn Vann, who had five points and four steals.

Westfield School is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-6 record this season. As for Calvary Christian, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-6.

Westfield School will face off against St. Anne-Pacelli at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Anne-Pacelli is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.3 points per game this season. As for Calvary Christian, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 44-11 win against Wiregrass on the 11th.
