Soccer Recap: Douglas Falls to Gold Beach in First Game of Season

Douglas kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They came up short against the Gold Beach Panthers, falling 9-4. Douglas haven't had much luck with Gold Beach recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

The win got Gold Beach back to even at 1-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Douglas will challenge rival Glide at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Gold Beach is set to face off against their familiar foe Sutherlin at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
