Basketball Recap: Visitation Beats Richfield for Their Sixth Straight Win

Visitation came tearing into Wednesday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.2 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 56-43 win over the Richfield Spartans. That's more bragging rights for the Blazers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Despite the loss, Richfield still got an impressive performance from Desirai Chappell, who went 7 of 15 on her way to 17 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. Chappell has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Ania Laduke, who posted five points and seven boards.

Visitation's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-5. As for Richfield, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-5.

Visitation will venture away from home to take on Academy of Holy Angels at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Richfield has already played their next matchup (against Fridley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
