Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Eau Gallie). They blew past the Trinity Catholic Celtics 51-0 on Friday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Commodores' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 53rd, while the Celtics are ranked 220th).

Xavier Lherisse threw for 150 yards and three touchdowns while completing 81.8% of his passes. Darrin Colpetzer was his top target, picking up 76 receiving yards and one score. On the ground, X'Zavier Corbin rushed for 85 yards and one TD.

The victory (which was Eau Gallie's third in a row) raised their record to 5-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 34.3 points over those games. As for Trinity Catholic, they dropped their record down to 2-4 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Looking ahead, Eau Gallie will face off against Merritt Island at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Commodores will be up against the Mustangs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 31 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Trinity Catholic, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Union County at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th.
