The biggest upset of the week belonged to Thornton, who took down 103rd ranked Thornton, 62-57. Jordan Radebaugh threw for 208 yards and four touchdowns, ran for 80 yards and caught one passes for 10 yards in the win.
Brighton extended the longest winning streak in 5A East Metro this week by beating Prairie View, 22-9. The win marks fifth in a row for the the Bulldogs.
Oscar Colmenero was the best wideout in the league this week as Lincoln fell to Westminster. Colmenero tallied seven receptions for 113 yards. Tameko Holguin helped Lincoln's passing attack out by catching three balls for 85 yards.
Keynan Huguley was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 45 carries, he ran for 501 yards as the Trojans fell to the Wolves. Lester Kemp also contributed to the rushing game with 56 yards on the ground.
Northglenn's Radebaugh and Eddie Franco have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading 5A East Metro in both passing and receiving yards. Radebaugh has thrown for 1483 yards this season, while Franco, a 6-foot-0 receiver, has 26 catches for 558 yards. Huguley from Thornton leads the league in rushing with 1468 yards.
J.d. Rosales of the Lincoln is only 73 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 186 carries Rosales has accumulated 927 yard this year.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Westminster takes on Mike Marquez's team. Kerry Denison's team is currently in third, while the Trojans are in second.
The Wolves took down Jesse Hernandez's team 50-20 last week, the largest margin of any game. Ryan Belearde ran for 200 yards and caught one passes for 50 yards in the win.
