It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Culver Academies had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the New Prairie Cougars 65-30. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 20 points or more this season.
Culver Academies' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Reid Seddelmeyer, who made all 5 shots she took to post 12 points in addition to seven assists and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayla Herron, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and ten assists.
Seddelmeyer wasn't the only one working in the assist department: Culver Academies was working as a unit and finished the game with 22 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as New Prairie only posted seven assists.
When it comes to explaining why New Prairie lost, don't look at Nevaeh Trobaugh. Despite the final result, she went 7 for 10 on her way to 14 points and six boards. Sami Pease also deserves some recognition as she scored her first points of the season.
Culver Academies is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season.
