Basketball Recap: Black Hawk Takes a Loss

Black Hawk lost against River Ridge back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The game between the Black Hawk Warriors and the River Ridge Wildcats didn't end well, with the Black Hawk Warriors falling 48-32. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead River Ridge to victory, but perhaps none more so than Logan Keleher, who posted nine points and three steals. Keleher is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last six games he's played. Nate Haas was another key player, going 5-for-7 en route to 10 points and six boards.

Black Hawk's loss dropped their record down to 2-19. As for River Ridge, they pushed their record up to 15-15 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Black Hawk is taking a road trip to challenge Benton at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for River Ridge, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Scales Mound at 7:15 p.m. Scales Mound has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 211 points over their last three contests.
