Basketball Game Preview: Gilmer Bobcats vs. Heritage Generals

The Gilmer Bobcats will head out on the road to face off against the Heritage Generals at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

On Wednesday, Gilmer was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 55-49 to Calhoun.

Meanwhile, Heritage entered their tilt with LaFayette on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They breezed by the Ramblers to the tune of 59-29. The Generals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 21 points or more this season.

Heritage has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for Gilmer, they dropped their record down to 7-7 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Gilmer strolled past Heritage in their previous matchup back in January of 2020 by a score of 49-32. Will Gilmer repeat their success, or does Heritage have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
