Volleyball Recap: Perham Beats Barnesville for Their Sixth Straight Victory

Perham waltzed into their match on Saturday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Barnesville Trojans. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in September.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Perham who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-27, 18-16.

Addison Hackel paced Perham's offense, picking up 15 kills. Hackel got some help from Camryn Coste and her 21 assists. Hackel was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Perham's victory bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Barnesville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season.

Perham has already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Hillcrest Lutheran Academy on the 4th. As for Barnesville, they will square off against Pelican Rapids at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
