Oakley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Glenns Ferry Pilots, falling 40-14. The Hornets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pilots apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2023.

Bryce Sterling was his usual excellent self, rushing for 157 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries, while also picking up 52 receiving yards and a touchdown for Glenns Ferry. Those 157 rushing yards gave Sterling a new career-high. Another receiver making a difference was Aaron De Leon, who gained 175 total yards and two touchdowns.

Oakley's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Glenns Ferry, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.
