Basketball Game Preview: Bonham Warriors vs. Hughes Springs Mustangs

The Bonham Warriors will head out to challenge the Hughes Springs Mustangs at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Bonham is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50 points per game this season.

Bonham saw some tournament action on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 56-36 margin over Nocona.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bonham to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jk Wilson, who went 7 of 8 on his way to 17 points and four steals. That's the most points Wilson has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Russell Welch, who went 8 of 14 on his way to 20 points.

Meanwhile, Hughes Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 56-32 to Harleton. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Mustangs have suffered since November 23, 2024.

Hughes Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Bonham, their victory bumped their record up to 13-8.
