Baseball Recap: Apex Friendship Comes Up Short

Apex Friendship lost against Corinth Holders back in May of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Apex Friendship Patriots took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Corinth Holders Pirates.

Connor Payne made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Apex Friendship now has a losing record of 0-1-1. As for Corinth Holders, their win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Coming up, Apex Friendship will challenge Pinecrest at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Corinth Holders, they will square off against Rolesville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
